This policy explains what personal information is collected when you visit casaurabhkhatri.com or book a session, why it is collected, and the choices you have. It is written to follow the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and other applicable Indian law.

1. Who we are

This website is operated by Saurabh Khatri, Chartered Accountant, India (“we”, “us”). For any privacy question, write to casaurabhkhatri@gmail.com.

2. Information we collect

Information you give us

• Booking details: your name, email address, phone / WhatsApp number, company name, GSTIN (optional) and what you would like to discuss.
• Payment reference: the UPI transaction reference (UTR) or bank reference you enter after paying.
• Anything you choose to share by email, on a call, or in documents you send before or after a session.

Information collected automatically

• Technical data such as IP address, browser type, device and pages visited, recorded in server and security logs by our hosting and security tools.
• Essential cookies used for security, caching and site functionality. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

What we do not collect

We never ask for or store your card number, bank account password, UPI PIN or OTP. Payments are made in your own UPI or banking app; we only receive the amount and the reference your bank shows us.

3. How we use your information

• To schedule, confirm and deliver your session, including sending confirmations, calendar invites and the meeting link.
• To verify your payment and to issue GST invoices.
• To prepare for and follow up on the session you booked.
• To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.
• To keep the website secure and working properly.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not send you marketing messages unless you ask us to.

4. Basis for processing

We process your information with your consent, which you give when you submit the booking form, and for legitimate purposes permitted by law, such as meeting tax and accounting requirements. You can withdraw consent at any time (see section 8); this does not affect processing already carried out or records we are legally required to keep.

5. Who we share it with

Only with service providers who help us run this website and deliver sessions, and only as much as they need:

• Web hosting and email delivery (Hostinger).
• Google, for Google Meet video calls and for the fonts used on this website.
• Government or regulatory authorities, when required by law (for example, for GST or income-tax purposes).

Some providers may store data on servers outside India, subject to their own security and privacy commitments.

6. How long we keep it

Booking, invoice and payment records are kept for as long as tax and accounting laws require, generally up to 8 years. Discussion notes and documents you share are deleted or anonymised once they are no longer needed for your engagement, unless the law requires us to keep them longer.

7. Confidentiality and security

What you share about your business is treated as confidential and is not disclosed to anyone without your permission, except where the law requires it. The website uses HTTPS encryption, and access to booking records is restricted. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.

8. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you can:

• ask for a summary of the personal information we hold about you;
• ask us to correct, complete or update it;
• ask us to erase it, where we are not legally required to keep it;
• withdraw your consent;
• raise a grievance, and nominate someone to exercise these rights on your behalf.

Write to casaurabhkhatri@gmail.com and we will respond within the time required by law. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may approach the Data Protection Board of India.

9. Children

This website and our services are intended for adults running or advising businesses. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page, with the date it was last updated.
